The session will consist of:
- An introduction to the Smartline project
- Explanation of the sensors, the surveys and the types of anonymised data collected
- A discussion to understand who has accessed the data and feedback on the experience
- Demonstration of the USMART data platform to include the use of API’s and coding
- An open discussion about future uses of the data
Led by the University of Exeter in partnership with Coastline Housing Ltd, Cornwall Council and Volunteer Cornwall, the three-year project funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the South West Academic Health Science Network, is leading the way in exploring how technology can be used to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities.
Smartline’s unique anonymised dataset includes sensor data from 290 homes covering gas and electricity usage, housing temperature, VOC & CO2 levels, humidity levels and water consumption. The project is also collecting health and wellbeing data relating to communities and volunteering.
