Partners

University of Exeter

As the lead partner, the University of Exeter is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Smartline project. The University also leads on the research aspects of the project, working with all the project partners and businesses to analyse and interpret data sets, to inform new products, processes and services and identifying needs and service gaps.

The Smartline project builds upon the University’s research which explores how where we live impacts our health and wellbeing. Ultimately, the project hopes to be able to use information both to inform and predict potential health and wellbeing issues.

The Smartline project office team are based at the Medical School’s European Centre for Environment & Human Health, based at the University’s Truro Campus in Cornwall.
Please visit the Research page for more detailed information on the research themes.

Coastline Housing

Coastline Housing Ltd is an independent, not-for-profit housing association owning and managing over 4,300 homes within Cornwall. Our purpose is to build great homes and offer great services provided by great people.

As a social housing provider with a duty of care to our customers it’s important we do all we can to explore how we can improve their wellbeing at home. Using Smartline to explore how new technologies can better help people connect with their communities presents a number of exciting opportunities for us as a social landlord and we are delighted to be a partner in this innovative project.

Cornwall Council

The Smartline project is an exciting partnership opportunity for Cornwall Council to be involved in.

We are currently transforming services to help us improve the health and wellbeing of residents and this project will help us gather insight into people’s needs and the environment in which they live and enable residents to influence improvements that meet their needs and ensure their homes are energy efficient.

The potential for businesses to use this information to help them design products and services contributes to our plans for growth and prosperity in Cornwall.

Volunteer Cornwall

Our role is to actively engage the communities in the CPIR area through the use of the guided conversations.

Volunteer Cornwall supports the development of social action and volunteering via a diverse range of community members. Working closely with local community groups we encourage participation, signpost to relevant services and develop volunteer opportunities for community members to be involved in.

We make volunteering a fundamental part of the Smartline project and encourage and support project teams to recruit and support volunteers in order to help the project to succeed.

If you are interested in helping us to make difference by offering your time as a volunteer please contact: Karen Spooner Smartline Community Development Manager on 07968 706114 or karens@volunteercornwall.org.uk for further information.

From an Invisible systems perspective this is an excellent opportunity to be involved with one of the largest residential monitoring projects in Europe.
